Membership Information for Prospective Members

Cantigas Women's Choir encourages all prospective members to join us for our first few rehearsals at the start of each semester (early September and January) so that you may get a sense of our culture and decide whether we are a right fit for you. Our members vary in age, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, and musical education. We sing songs that amplify the voices of the lesser-heard and that are from an international perspective.

When/where does the choir rehearse?

Rehearsals for Spring 2024 began in January, taking place at Mustard Seed School,  422 Willow Ave, Hoboken, on Tuesday evenings from 7pm to 9pm. Please consider joining us this fall!

Current Covid Protocols:

Vaccines are required for in-person singing.

• Air circulation will be a priority during rehearsals. Fans and air purifiers will be on and windows will remain open. 

• All members will provide proof of vaccination and at least one booster if eligible.

• Members who feel ill must not attend rehearsal. 

Our masking/seating protocol will change depending on the risk level in Hudson county as follows: 

Low risk: Masks are recommended but not required. Directors will be unmasked. Chairs will be distanced.

Medium risk: Masks will be required for all but directors. Chairs will be distanced. 

High risk: Mask will be required for all and rehearsals may move online.
