Cantigas Women’s Choir celebrates Boreas, the god of the north wind and of winter, with songs from Central Europe, Georgia, Greece, Israel, and Turkey, along with prayers for peace, and songs of the season. Singing along encouraged!

Sea Wash

‘Sea Wash’ is a concert that considers the fate of the sea and the future of sea life, celebrating everything from baptismal rivers and water as a metaphor for life, to historical nautical adventures and dancing seaweed.

Cantigas Women’s Choir is devoted to bringing people together through song, lifting spirits through the power of music, and being a source of strength and support to our community. As we navigate these uncertain times, we will continue to find ways to make music with one another and bring that to you, whether it is in person or remotely. 

December 2019 Events

Thursday, December 5th from 5:30-6:30pm

We will be at the Journal Square PATH Station, singing Christmas Carols and short selections from the upcoming concert to encourage local folks to join us at St. Paul's on the 14th. 

Saturday, December 14th at 7:30pm

Tuesday, December 17th

Cantigas members sing for the residents of the Alaris Senior Center in Jersey City.

November 2019 

We were delighted to join the community in song at this event.  A group of Cantigas singers joined with the All Saints choir to sing for the Interfaith Thanksgiving Service at Community Church of Hoboken.  A special thanks to Joshua Mauldin for his musical direction and to Pastor Sooah Na for inviting us to take part in this beautiful service.
